I am an educator, linguist, and relocation specialist based in Barcelona.

My professional journey began in academia, serving as a university language instructor at prestigious Turkish institutions like Middle East Technical University (METU). With a Master’s degree from Bilkent University and years of experience evaluating instructional quality in multinational corporate environments, my career has always been centered on active listening, structural guidance, and analytical problem-solving.

In 2018, I embraced my own big transition when I moved to Spain and married into a local Spanish family. Much like the resilient laurel tree of Daphne, adapting to a new country required patience, flexibility, and growing strong new roots.

She handled the phone calls with utility companies to close my accounts and got everything resolved very quickly. She also personally accompanied me to my appointments at the city hall. She is extremely organized and pays close attention to every detail of the process. Even when I had to leave Barcelona, she managed everything wonderfully on my behalf while I was away. When I moved to Barcelona, one of my biggest worries was finding a home and dealing with all the paperwork and administrative procedures in a city where I didn't speak the language. Gülşen was truly there for me throughout the entire process. We looked at apartments together, and she handled all the conversations with real estate agents and landlords on my behalf. She asked all the right questions and noticed important details that I might have easily overlooked.
She also translated every official letter I received in Spanish or Catalan, patiently explaining what each one meant and what steps I needed to take. I remember one particular day when I was at a government office and couldn't communicate with the person assisting me. I called Gülşen, and she spoke to them in Catalan over the phone and resolved the issue right then and there. I can't even describe how relieved I felt at that moment!
